This is a field position responsible for specific tasks related to field acquisition projects, including supervision of the daily operations of the Recorder. The Data Manager is primarily responsible for reaping and verifying acquisition of seimic data from geophones/seismic nodes. To be effective in this role, the individual consistently exhibits high attention to safety standards and quality in service and operations. The incumbent continually is aware of and looks for opportunities to improve efficiencies, exceed safety targets, and further develop long‐term customer relationships.

Duties:

  • Performing seismic data management in various software applications
  • Maintenance of data inventories
  • Working within both a PC & Linux environments
  • Data importing, archival and retrieval
  • Day to day liaison with client users and other support personnel
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Seeks to understand and actively supports efforts to enhance service, safety, profitability, productivity and efficiency within the assigned project(s).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Seismic Acquisition
  • 2 years of post-secondary with relevant engineering education or a relevant diploma
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - 2D, 3D, 4D, Heli-portable, conventional seismic experience an asset 
  • Strong technical/mechanical aptitude
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the USA and willing to travel

Duties:

  • Assists in planning and requisitioning of new, recording equipment, radios and computers
  • Works with Seismic Observers to verify field instrument tests and make sure equipment is within specified limits
  • Acts as technical liaison with client representatives
  • Oversees and participates in the installation, interfacing, testing and usage of equipment and/or programs
  • Troubleshoots and corrects system breakdowns to reduce crew down-time

The QHSE Manager is a senior HSE position and plays an integral role in the administration of the company’s safety programs and initiatives at the Business Unit level. The QHSE Manager monitors, evaluates, audits and completes reports on HSE activities in field operations. They comply with and promote HSE within SAExploration and client’s policies, processes and procedures. To be effective in this role, the individual consistently exhibits high attention to safety standards and quality in service and operations. The QHSE Manager is continually aware of and looks for opportunities to improve efficiencies, exceed safety targets, and further develop long-term customer relationships.

The position is perfect for an energetic, team builder, safety advocate who will coordinate and provide specialized QHSE support to the operations, site management, employees and sub-contractors.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Advises operations on day-to-day implementation and compliance of HSE&Q standards, programs, and policies at the project and BU level
  • Incident investigation and reporting
  • Injury Claims Management
  • Statistical data monitoring, trending, risk ranking and reporting at project and Business Unit level
  • Assist with Project Specific HSE Documentation (HSE Plans, Risk Assessments, Emergency Response Plans, etc.)
  • Assesses and assists Human Resources with maintaining personnel training requirements
  • Maintains project level HSE Advisor schedule and work rotation
  • Liaise with and assist the Business Unit with understanding and using the HSE-MS
  • Complete Management Site Visits to field locations throughout the United States.
  • Is active and mindful within industry initiatives, regulatory updates and compliance
  • Assist with maintaining client approval registries such as ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.
  • Assist the Operations Management and Regional HSE Manager with Contractor assessment, compliance, and oversight
  • Actively participate in client meetings and ensure compliance with client HSE&Q policies and standards
  • Advise and assist the Business Unit in support for maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state and local health, safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, USDOT, ATF, etc.).
